Posted on 4th August 2019 by jemima_fawr

We’ve got an all-day wargaming session coming up at The Carmarthen Old Guard, so I thought I’d run a small (ish) historical battle, the Battle of Neumarkt (also known as Neumarkt-Sankt Veit) from my favourite Napoleonic campaign, the Danube Campaign … Continue reading →

Posted on 16th June 2019 by jemima_fawr

In Part 1 last week, I looked at the infantry of Napoleon’s Old Guard and my recreation of them in 15mm, using AB Figures.  In Part 2 I’m going to look at what was initially the ‘Young Guard’, but which … Continue reading →

I doubt that there’s a single Napoleonic wargamer who doesn’t have at least one Imperial Guard unit in their collection and I’m certainly no exception… And having recently painted my very LAST Imperial Guard infantryman (for the two Young Guard … Continue reading →

The Warsaw Pact’s Northern Front crossed the Inter-German Border two days ago, rapidly breaking through the forward units of the German Schleswig-Holstein Territorial Command, annihilating the 81st Heimatschütz Regiment and surrounding the 71st Heimatschütz Regiment in Lübeck.  The Danish Jutland Dragoons … Continue reading →

Posted on 29th November 2018 by jemima_fawr

Since getting back into my first wargaming love of Napoleonics in 2015, thanks to our Waterloo Bicentennial games, I’ve been steadily working my way through the lead-pile.  In 2015 this stood at around 2,000 unpainted 15mm AB Figures Napoleonics. Thanks to painting 1,000 … Continue reading →
